My original podcast gig has a new episode out. Do I talk about lightsaber battles as a parenting tool? You’ll have to listen to find out. www.onebighappyhome.com/2018/03/3…

Behold the secret of the time capsule! This AM radio from 1978 still works. #vintage #StarWars

Each visit, as my parents slowly empty their house in preparation to move permanently to the farm my mom grew up on, they bring something from my childhood. This is what my dad hands me today. I wonder what’s inside?

I believe when I get caught up on my Mark Dawson reading, I’m going to blaze through the Chronicles of Prydain. It’s been more than a couple of decades since I read the whole thing.

I’d fallen behind in my Mark Dawson reading, so this was a great time to start getting caught up. Knocked this novella out this evening. 📚

Finished this today, and now I want to get @Nicholas_Eames on the Big Fat Geek Podcast. Such a rollicking, bloody, fun fantasy read. 📚

It’s our biggest episode yet on the Big Fat Geek Podcast as we talk Black Panther with our friend @MosesUvere. It’s a deep dive beyond the film itself, getting personal and grappling with the social aspects. www.bigfatgeekpodcast.com/2018/03/2…

Help me help trauma kids in Rwanda

Rwanda will always hold a special place in my family, as it is the birthplace of our youngest child. One way we stay connected with his home nation is supporting orphans and traumatized children in Kigali through Imana Kids.

Given there are few resources for schooling and care from a trauma-trained perspective, we have the ambitious project to build a village that can provide these needs to these kids who are so often overlooked. I’ve set an ambitious personal goal of US $5,000 to go toward this project.

Join me in supporting real change. Let’s support good in the world and make a difference. Help us create a healing community for children to learn and grow. For Imana Kids!

Just a small donation will go a long way to helping me meet my goal.

Great talk tonight by @JackCarrUSA about his debut novel, The Terminal List. If you like thrillers, pick this one up.

Ever wanted to attend a comic or science-fiction convention, but you’re not sure what they are or what to expect? We’re here to help. www.bigfatgeekpodcast.com/2018/03/2…

From last night’s show, the headliners. Kelly, Luis and Justin playing “Satellite”. Another great, fun show by the Dollyrots!

(I hope the Dollytot found his blue LEGO piece.)

Erik Chandler Band closes their set with my favorite song of theirs, “Tonight’s the Night”.

Second opener, Sweet Chaos. Amazing the sound they’re getting from a bass guitar and drum kit.

This is Not Ur Girlfrenz, one of the openers for The Dollyrots. These girls are only 14, and kicking some serious butt. Great stage presence, better than some bands of full-grown adults!
