Since May 29th, every @Rangers game I have watched on TV or in person, they’ve won. Every one I didn’t watch, they lost.
Tonight, the streak is over.
Honestly, I’m glad the pressure is off.
Last night I finished the first in Michael Ridpath’s series about Icelander-American detective Magnus Jonson. Tolkien fans should recognize the title phrase, and yes, there is a Tolkien twist. Great read. I’m definitely interested in reading more of Magnus' investigations. 📚

I failed to publicly note it 10 days ago when I finished reading it, but the second volume in Rob Kroese’s excellent Viking alternative history sci-fi series is fantastic. Vikings lay siege to Paris! While others help try to build a space ship… 📚

Two and a half weeks after the fact, but a lovely anniversary dinner and night with no kids with my bride of 26 years.

I’m a couple weeks behind on this season’s Westworld, but finally finished the episode “Kiksuya". WOW. What a performance by @ZahnMcClarnon. It was awesome that most of the dialog in the episode was in Lakota.
I think this is my favorite episode thus far in this season.
Two dollars at Half Price Books and the teenager now has his own copy of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy!
It’s been 10 days since I watched a Rangers game on TV. They haven’t won in that time. Today, I turn it on and they’re tied. I watch the rest of the game and they win.
Y’all, this latent superpower is both scary and underwhelming.

Finished G.T. Almasi’s Talon of Scorpio this evening, the third book in a fun, alternative history sci-fi series. 📚

Wearing this shirt to dinner at Fogo de Chão tonight, and as we’re heading to our seats, another patron said, “Sir! Excuse me, sir! I LOVE your shirt.” To be fair to him, it is pretty great. flic.kr/p/DYucG7
