He only had six lines of dialogue across two movies, so Boba Fett is totally a minor character, right? twitter.com/scottEwei…
‘Tis a glorious day, my friends! For no matter the hail and rainy weather we doth suffer in the metroplex of Dallas and Forth Worth, today I have been liberated from the need to use my Yahoo! login for Flickr. A glorious day indeed!
There’s a new episode of The Empowered Parent Podcast out, and we’re talking about ways to incorporate play into every day.
There needs to be a way to tell one’s Apple Watch that today is a sick day, and the only standing and movement will be that which gets one from the bed to the bathroom and back again. #FirstWorldProblems
I have myriad thoughts on the new Star Wars trailer and what it means for the movie. We definitely need to record a new @bigfatgeekpod episode.
Truer words have never been spoken by Lucifer’s little minions.
Happy to have this in my hands, @TheBrometheus! Now to finish two other books and slot it into my reading queue.

Reading an ARC of @steven_kotler’s Last Tango in Cyberspace, and love, love, LOVE the quick shout-outs to two classic science fiction franchises in the early going.
Last night, a new piece of kit for Empowered Parenting podcasting…
This is a great mashup.
My Personal de-Google-fication Continues
Google Photos is no more for me. I deleted all the photos in that account, then cancelled my Google One subscription. I removed the app from my iOS devices.
I’m not totally killing my Google account and Gmail address, however, as much as I might want to. There is still stuff with Docs and Drive for podcasting collaboration I need to maintain an account for. I do have to think about others in that particular situation. But the Gmail app is coming off devices, too.
I believe this means the only Google apps I’m left with are Translate and Waze. I’m sure I could find a replacement for the former, but no other app gives me what I need for dealing with Dallas/Fort Worth traffic like Waze does. I’d like to be Google-free, but it’s just not in the cards as things currently stand. I’ll settle for now with this being the best I can do.
Shazam is really awesome, a fun movie, and has a really good pro-foster care family vibe on top of it.
But adoptive and foster parents be aware: there is a huge abandonment issue where the child gets re-traumatized, and the monsters in it may be really scary, depending on the age of your kids.
I hardly ever get to Mavs games. Maybe once a year. This year has been my most in a season, at three. I’m 1-1, and the winner was when @tweetgrubes was filling in as DJ.
I feel good about tonight.

Let’s be honest, it was only a matter of time before they were driven to these lengths.
Watching the Joker trailer, I’m left with two thoughts:
- I’m certain Joaquin Phoenix is going to bring everything he has to the role, just as Heath Ledger did with it in The Dark Knight.
- This is going to ruin the mysteriousness of Ledger’s Joker, much like Lucas ruined the mysteriousness of Boba Fett with Attack of the Clones.
“I don’t know how adoptive and foster parents walk their journeys without a tribe of kindred spirits who can confide in confidence with one another.”
Parenting kids with trauma pasts is too hard to do by yourself. You need people in the trenches with you, people you can confide in without judgment, who know what you’re going through because they’ve been there, too.
Gee, Chris, why do you continue to buy physical media? Digital is so easy.
Gosh, I don’t know why.
My non-hockey but musical kid got to meet @DallasStars music meister @tweetgrubes tonight. Thanks for showing him how you run things, Grubes!
