Up and at a rink before dawn on Labor Day weekend can only mean one thing: the start of hockey season.

The latest Sneaky Good Podcast is up, and we preview LSU’s first contest of the 2019 season, against Georgia Southern’s triple option attack. #GeauxTigers www.andthevalleyshook.com/2019/8/30…

My boy is 11 today! He’s always had those captivating eyes, though. Happy birthday, Sam!

Hey guys, we really need to step up our connected relationship game. Craig is seeking validation from inanimate sticks of wood. twitter.com/craigmccl…

I told @leebennett I would comment after I’d watched it 156 times. It hasn’t been that many, but I have lost count. Holy cow, I cannot wait for The Mandalorian. I anxiously await my Disney+ sign-up email. youtu.be/aOC8E8z_i…

Big props to the @MonkeySports crew in Allen, and the @CCMHockey rep who was in store today, for handling a warranty issue in the most customer-friendly way possible. Made our day a lot easier. Thanks, gang!

Behind the mic last night at Nathan’s house can only mean one thing: there’s finally a new Big Fat Geek podcast episode coming!

College football is less than two weeks away and we’re here with our first look at the 2019 campaign. #LSU www.andthevalleyshook.com/2019/8/19…

Here’s a thing about the nationalized 24-hour news cycle: 40 years ago, no one outside Oakland would even know about Antonio Brown wanting to wear his old helmet, much less have an opinion about it.

Today my parents celebrate 50 years of marriage. Happy anniversary, Mom and Dad!!!

Happy birthday to this kiddo! Sixteen today, in the Garden of the Gods.

Honestly, if I could convince the @BearNotesApp devs to let me use my own typefaces, so I could select iA Writer Duo, I would have the absolutely perfect notes app for me.

It was awesome seeing the turnout for @JackCarrUSA tonight. Easily twice, and possibly three times, what it was last year for his debut The Terminal List. Great seeing you, Jack, and thanks for stopping in Dallas! And if you like thrillers, Jack doesn’t disappoint!

Happy James Reece Day, everyone!

Light and blade included because I know @JackCarrUSA appreciates sharp and useful things.

So proud of this kid. Yesterday, he led his JV team to the summer league championship. It’s the first JV championship of any kind for our town’s organization since the two high schools merged clubs four years ago.

I just finished @NerdKing52’s zombie novel, A Place Outside the Wild. With a different take on the zombie genre than I’ve read to date, Daniel has crafted a great, fun read that leaves you wanting more. Highly recommended if you love the zombie/apocalyptic genre.

Telling me it’s Star Wars: A New Hope (1977), only for me to discover it’s the wretched Special Edition is false advertising, TBS.
