I heard about this Nasa ScienceCast on the Marketplace Tech Report this morning.
Makes me wonder how many people actually saw the impact.
Nice that they put some perspective on what this might mean for permanent/semi-permanent living structures on the lunar surface. Though I think right now we can’t build anything capable of sustaining a 5-tons-of-TNT equivalent strike.

I have three of these cameras, this is one of the dead ones so I took it apart to discover the mechanical watch like components buried inside. Really quite amazing considering the direction cameras have taken full of circuit boards and sensors.
I enjoy well composed photos of cameras. And there’s also something so meta about that kind of shot.
