Chris Thile - Bach, G Minor Sonata, “Presto” (by megaphono79)

This is not exactly what I saw last night, but goddamn is it close.

I’ve heard the Bach G Minor Sonata on violin tens of times, but I never really heard it until Chris Thile played it on the mandolin.

This should have hundreds of thousands of views, not 96.

This is what Bach wrote.

Actual playing of music starts about a minute in. This needs to be a purchasable, downloadable MP3.

Flatfoot 56 - I Believe It from Anchor Guitars on Vimeo.

The boys in Flatfoot 56 are no strangers to touring. They have been holding their own for over ten years, and this year was no exception. Releasing new full length album ‘Toil’ on Florida based label Paper and Plastic. There schedule has sent them across the USA and Canada multiple times this year, with trips to Russia and Europe as well!!!

They showed up in Vancouver on October 16 having been on the road with Less Than Jake for just shy of two months. We were able to film their Victoria and Vancouver show, as well as two sound checks and an in-studio performance, the result is the video you are about to watch.

This song titled 'I Believe It’, is one of the singles on their new album 'Toil’. Released this last summer on the 24th of July.

Discovering the Kimberley. A taster of the forthcoming documentary. from Philip Bloom on Vimeo.

Edit originally created for my C300 Canon presentation in Seoul but has now become a little teaser of the full documentary that I am currently editing..

The documentary is about this incredible boat trip to one of the most remote but beautiful parts of Australia, focusing on key people who have made the trip including Mike Fletcher, my friend and filmmaker who acts almost as a guide to the journey, Wally & Bev, a couple who are terminally ill and making one last trip together as a couple…

It’s a beautiful awe inspiring journey but very grounded in real people and real stories.

This is not a commercial project but a passion film for me.

Original edit by Sarah Estela with additional work by myself.

Shot on the C300. Damn that camera gives you good looking pics!

Music is from Crimson Wing by The Cinematic Orchestra

Thanks to Mike Fletcher!

Star Wars Helmetia! from Pedro Cyrne on Vimeo.

A few days ago I came across with Keith Bogan’s amazing Star Wars Minimalism posters (behance.net/gallery/Star-Wars-Minimalism/1274689) and I thought they would look great animated, so I thought this could be a good proposal for this week’s F125 project.

Based on Keith’s minimal designs, I recreated 5 characters and added some elements that I thought that could be fun to animate.

Sound effects and Music from Star Wars movies.

Guns N'Roses’ “Paradise City” and @LSUfball. This was a no-brainer. Geaux Tigers!!!

I forgot to get around to posting this back in June/July, whenever it began making the rounds. Matt’s videos are always great for a smile, and a reminder that we’re all more alike than not.

The Grilled Cheese Toaster Bag. I feel like this took longer for us (as humans) to figure out than it should have.

Dave blogged this, but utterly failed to include a link where one might purchase this revolutionary product.

I wonder how well this will work with the bread buttered, as we do in our household before we plop it down on the frying pan…

Members of the United States Air Force Honor Guard performed a drill routine Thursday (3/8/12) on the Parade Ground.

This marks the first time the 16-man honor guard drill team visited the campus. The team is led by 1st Lt. Alexander Stanton, an LSU alumnus.

By Tyler Daniel, The Daily Reveille

Once upon a time, that was almost me. I served two years in LSU’s Pershing Rifles, the combined honor guard component of LSU’s ROTC programs. We never did anything as fancy as these moves, however. Nor did we get to mount bayonets.

This is radically cool.

This is the journey we took almost every day for a week, some times more than once a day, to the Home of Hope orphanage in Kigali, Rwanda. The video begins in front of Saint Famille Church, a site from the genocide where thousands sought refuge, but were betrayed by a priest and ultimately murdered.
