Oh, I want to learn how to make these…

Growing up, my Dad always used Rosie Grier as an example of not giving one goddamn about gender roles. I think I knew who Rosie Grier was by the time I was four or five.

Rosie Grier was exactly whom my parents pulled out as an example for me to learn to cross-stitch.

A Constitution is not the act of a Government, but of a people constituting a government, and a government without a constitution is a power without right.

Former orphanage roommates meet again. on Flickr.

Tonight we met some Facebook friends for dinner. They were in town and wanted to meet up. Their little gal was adopted two months before we got our little guy.

Vought A-7 Corsair II on Flickr.

The A-7 was based on Vought’s successful supersonic fighter, the F-8 Crusader. It’s airframe was shorter and lighter than the Crusader’s. The Corsair II replaced the A-4 Skyhawk in the US Navy’s inventory, as well as a variety of other aircraft in the Air Force Reserve and Air National Guard.

My dad worked on A-7s aboard the USS Kennedy as an avionics technician.

I was shushed from the other room. Again.

We’re learning more about the dead Venezuelan dictator Hugo Chavez. It seems he amassed about $2 billion in personal fortune while president – and he was a socialist. Imagine how rich he could have been if he didn’t believe in redistribution of wealth.

we need more of these, who makes these? can I commission more. Need more.

Crying.

The part that had me laughing the most was the bottom one. That is my life. Every. Night.

“I asked for a Kitchenaid mixer for Christmas, I pointed my wife toward a broken one on eBay so that I could refurbish it, as I was taking it apart I got some inspiration for the paint job and this is what came out of it, still needs a phase board for speed control and two decals to be applied to the sides but I couldn’t wait to share.”

We were really excited when we finally got our very own KitchenAid mixer,  but looking at this awesome customized Boba Fett Mixer, painted by DeviantARTist tommyfilth, we’ve realized that just having and using the mixer isn’t enough. Now we’re scheming to come up with our own way to turn the mighty appliance into an outlet for geeky self-expression.

@hopelessjen needs to see this.

I am insanely jealous of this.

I love this one for the dialogue.
