When all the nerds in the movie theater go “WOOOO!” during the next Star Wars at a time when it doesn’t make any sense to “WOOOO!” this is why.

“I asked for a Kitchenaid mixer for Christmas, I pointed my wife toward a broken one on eBay so that I could refurbish it, as I was taking it apart I got some inspiration for the paint job and this is what came out of it, still needs a phase board for speed control and two decals to be applied to the sides but I couldn’t wait to share.”
We were really excited when we finally got our very own KitchenAid mixer, but looking at this awesome customized Boba Fett Mixer, painted by DeviantARTist tommyfilth, we’ve realized that just having and using the mixer isn’t enough. Now we’re scheming to come up with our own way to turn the mighty appliance into an outlet for geeky self-expression.

I love this one for the dialogue.
(The LEGO set work is impressive, too.)

I WOULD SO BUY THIS. My kids would LOVE it. Yeah, my kids.
What?!?
If I wrote a story about an apprentice-wizard farmboy, an old wizard, a princess, a pirate, a dark knight and a talking bear, and there’s a dark castle and a mission to save the princess, the audience reaction to it is going to be based on how well executed the story is, not on how tired people might think the common plot elements are. Done wrong, it’s some bit of horrible pulp that rots on an assistant editor’s floor. Done right, it’s Star Wars.
Jim Butcher.
Just a reminder that it’s the story that matters, people. So, yes, count me in on Lucasfilm + Disney. Because maybe, just maybe, the movie of Colonel Indiana Jones of the OSS gets made now.
(via tbridge)I have money ready to spend RIGHT NOW on such a film.

A few days ago I came across with Keith Bogan’s amazing Star Wars Minimalism posters (behance.net/gallery/Star-Wars-Minimalism/1274689) and I thought they would look great animated, so I thought this could be a good proposal for this week’s F125 project.
Based on Keith’s minimal designs, I recreated 5 characters and added some elements that I thought that could be fun to animate.
Sound effects and Music from Star Wars movies.

Newsarama.com : Star Wars 35th Anniversary: Timeline (Infographic)
“More than a mere blockbuster, the Star Wars franchise became a record-setting media empire. Six live-action films and a computer-animated movie have filled theaters. An animated Star Wars TV series has been on the air for four years, with a fifth season set to debut in the fall; a live-action series, ‘Star Wars: Underworld,’ is in preproduction. Profits from licensed merchandise have dwarfed box office revenue, and an estimated $20 billion worth of toys, clothing, prop replicas and other memorabilia have been sold since 1977.”
