Today was our Cub Scout pack’s end-of-school-year bridging ceremony. My two guys bridged from Lion to Tiger and Bear to Webelos. It also marked the last time I’ll wear this uniform shirt.

We’re transferring to another pack, relevant to the move of house and schools we made last year. This way our guys will be with friends from school and the neighborhood. I’m also taking a break from leadership.

Six years as Cubmaster, and it’s been a good run. A few bumps, as you’d expect on life’s road, but I have been blessed with great parents, and great kids, people you enjoy spending time with. My thanks to the parents who volunteered over the years. You made my job a lot easier. Thank you for the recognition, that was very sweet.

Now to the next stop on the trail…
